United Business Technologies, Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual for a position as Buyer.
Our client is a global developer of custom engineered and application specific products and solutions.  Their focus is on design, development and manufacture of solutions for customer applications utilizing our technical capabilities in the areas of power distribution, sensors, human-to-machine interface and testing.
 
Position Summary:
 
We’re looking for a talented, thorough and driven Buyer who takes great pride in their work and strives to source and purchase components using the most modern and cost-competitive options available.
This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Procurement. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience in the position responsibilities listed below.
 
Position Responsibilities include:
 
  • Manages focused commodity strategies to ensure company’s supply base can deliver program launches, desired technologies and quality parts.
  • Supports product development teams through on-time sourcing.
  • Achieves best in class pricing and builds supplier relationships through fact-based negotiation.
  • Manages Procurement team’s deliverables for select program launches.
  • Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies to support the company’s/business unit’s needs.
  • Collaborates with quality control personnel, users customers and vendors and others to determine the root cause of production issues and develop source of trouble and take appropriate corrective action plans.
