Lead Warehouse Associate is a “hands on” working position that is responsible for providing support to the Supervisor in the areas of coordinating product movement within specified productivity, and manages the quality and safety standards within the RDC. The position is interchangeable in all areas of the warehouse except inventory. The position includes:
Assign work and functions to all warehouse associates.
Maintain an efficient, productive, and safe work environment at all times.
Assist, coach, train and lead warehouse associates as appropriate.
Perform administrative, documentation, and computer support as needed.
Assume supervisory duties in the absence of the Supervisor.
Drive increased productivity.
Perform warehouse associate duties when necessary.
Participate in building and equipment maintenance activities.
Required Skills
Associates degree with 4 to 6 years of related experience is required.
•Strong computer skills (Microsoft products), and familiar with warehouse management systems, e.g. Red Prairie. •Strong interpersonal and motivation capabilities. •Must be able to multi-task. •Power equipment operator certified along with Hazmat certification. •Should have a strong work ethic. •Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
